About Norlys

Norlys was shaped by long, dark winter nights and a harsh climate, where outdoor light is about safety as much as atmosphere. For more than 30 years it has designed lighting shaped by that environment – simple, resilient and natural. The company sells through a worldwide network of professional distributors, and Elstead Lighting has partnered with Norlys since 1998.

Norlys makes its lights in its own factories, with an aluminium foundry, a press shop for steel luminaires, hot-dip galvanising, CNC machining and powder-coating departments, plus an accredited testing laboratory. Designs focus on minimalism, functionality and enduring beauty, in durable finishes such as black, graphite and galvanised steel, often paired with clear or frosted glass or wood details. In 2023 the company achieved EcoVadis Bronze certification for sustainability.

Our Norlys range is entirely outdoor lighting, with over 130 designs in stock. Wall lights make up the largest part, from up and down lights to classic lanterns, followed by a broad choice of bollards in several heights. Many ranges, such as Turin, Valencia and Stockholm, include matching wall, pendant, post top and bollard versions, so you can light a path, porch and driveway in one coordinated style.

Norlys FAQs

What IP ratings do Norlys lights have?

Every Norlys light we sell is designed for outdoor use, with ratings typically from IP44 up to IP65 depending on the design. Bollards in ranges such as Stockholm and Halmstad are IP65. Check the IP rating on each product page to suit the position you have in mind.

Can I match Norlys wall lights with bollards and post lights?

Yes. Many Norlys ranges, including Turin, Valencia, Stockholm and Lofoten, offer wall lights alongside matching bollards, post tops, pendants or ceiling versions, so you can create a coordinated look across your entrance, path and garden.

What is the difference between galvanised and black Norlys finishes?

Galvanised steel has a hot-dip zinc coating with a natural silver-grey look that weathers gradually over time, while black and graphite are powder-coated colour finishes. Both are made for outdoor use; finish availability varies by range, so check the product page.

How quickly will my Norlys order arrive?
