About Laura Ashley Homeware

The Laura Ashley story started at a kitchen table, where Laura and Bernard Ashley invested £10 in wood for a screen, fabric and dyes and began hand-printing tea towels and headscarves. Demand grew quickly, and within a few years they were producing around 300 yards of fabric a day. Fashion followed, and in the early 1980s the first Laura Ashley home catalogue and Book of Home Furnishings helped shape how people decorated their homes.

That heritage of print and pattern runs through the homeware collection. The brand’s archive holds hundreds of thousands of pieces, and its wallpapers draw on the floral, botanical, trellis and stripe designs it is known for, in soft, liveable colourways such as duck egg, blush and sable. The paint palette is created to sit alongside them, so walls, woodwork and paper can be coordinated with ease.

What is the difference between Laura Ashley wallpaper and murals?
