Fredrick Ramond was founded in 1965 by Fredrick Ramond Glassman, who built a reputation for quality hand-wrought iron designs and a relaxed, modern take on lighting for the home. In November 2007 Hinkley – a family-owned lighting business since 1922 – acquired the company and set out to preserve Fred’s vision of modern elegance and attention to detail, making Fredrick Ramond its luxury lighting brand.

Under Hinkley, Fredrick Ramond has been redefined around statement lighting focused on handcrafted artistry, luxurious hand-touched finishes and opulent materials. Designs tend to be architectural and sculptural, pairing dark, satin finishes with warm gold or cool silver detailing, or keeping to a refined brushed nickel. The result is lighting intended to act as a focal point, whether over a dining table or flanking a mirror.
