About Gilded Nola

Gilded Nola was launched in 2013 by Joe McKearn, founder of Flambeau, in partnership with lighting designer Julie Neill. The aim was to expand into a more traditional and transitional look that Flambeau was not serving, and to make hand-produced table lamps that had previously been too costly to make one at a time. Its style is described as sophisticated and evocative of grand historic estates.

Each Gilded Nola design relies on handwork. Finishes such as distressed gold and gold leaf are applied by skilled hands, so subtle variations in tone and texture are part of the character of every piece. Shapes are bold and sculptural – sunbursts, globes and scrolled arms – and are often paired with cut crystal glass or simple white shades to balance the warmth of the gilding.

Our Gilded Nola collection is small and focused, built around three signature ranges. Arabella and Lemuria each offer dual mount pendants, wall lights and table lamps in distressed gold, with Lemuria adding a three light globe pendant. Sun King brings a radiant sunburst to a gold leaf pendant and wall light, plus a table lamp with a white shade – ideal for layering a room in one look.
