About Quoizel

Quoizel was founded in 1930 by Michael Chaikin, beginning as a table lamp shop that specialised in oil-fuelled hurricane lamps. As electric lighting took over, the company moved into lamps and then a full line of fixed lighting. One early design, the Abigail Adams lamp, stayed in the collection for decades – a sign of the lasting appeal that still shapes the brand nearly a century on.

Quoizel describes its approach as lighting grounded in quality, craftsmanship and trust, balancing timeless design with modern living. It is best known for its appreciation of Tiffany art glass, taking stained-glass designs beyond table lamps into chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and ceiling fittings.
